The Pineapple Thief at Chapel Studios

I’ve just returned from a brilliant residential week at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire. The project was to track drums, bass and guitar for the new The Pineapple Thief album which was achieved with fantastic results. The studio has an amazing collection of microphones and outboard. The residential area features six double bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, dining area and pool room. You can really focus on the job in hand but feel completely relaxed in the surroundings. Engineering was Mark Bowyer with Harry Lightfood assisting. My core duties was post recording editing plus I even laid down some piano, rhodes and hammond. I begin mixing the project alongside Mark Boywer from next week. The album is due out in September.
